WOYWW !!!

Hi Everyone,

Exciting day here Murrays Playing !!! Please Lord above let him get through this one !!!

Anyhows, heres my WOYWW & if your all wondering what this is all about pop over to Julia`s blog and take a peep. This is where we all take piccies of what our creative spaces are doing each week, its great fun going round all the other "tidy" spaces and getting some ideas along the way.

Well, Its seems the more space I give my self the more mess I can make lol - I was doing the DT card for Crafty Cardmakers challenge - Inky fingers - I just love playin with the inks and sprays and generally making a smallish mess, the mothers at the school always look at me oddly when I pick up my little ickle pickle, most times i have bleach spills, you know the ones, you think, oh I`ll be alrite wearing this, wont get any spills on me, before you know it your covered, I always push my luck and wait until the last min to go collect her so dont have time to get changed and clean my handypans, so all I can say to them is feed your kids, clothe your kids, clean your bathrooms and then get a life and a hobby instead of tutting at me and my ink stained clothes and hands, at least Im a happy mom with happy kids !!!

So in this piccie, I have some grey stacking thingys, they did live under the curtain hanging there, but got so fed up of searching for the right ink, I pulled it out and given it pride of place, but somehow the inks still seem to be living on the work surface lol

The clock stamp comes out alot but never gets used, the inclination to use it is there, but i just get carried away on a different cuckoo cloud and forget the original idea !!!

Those 3 little metal containers are the 3 I want to use the alcohol inks on, but this is not happening either, maybe one day I will get there.

Right, thats it for my rantings today, oh yeah I want some feed back on Shrink Plastic as a challenge, dont you think it would be a fantastic one to have ???? I find working with it so easy but others have problems with it, if you have tried it before let me know how you got on with it.

Okies, Housework, prepare the dinner and then its Pimms and Murray time !!

catch ya all later peeps
Judie xx

Love the clock stamp and the artwork I spy on your desk. I am sitting here with computer on lap and Wimbledon on hoping Andy Murray gets through this time. Have a good day and enjoy the Wimbledon, Tracy Evans x x

I too love your clock stamp - in fact it looks very like my own (which is by Rubbadubbadoo but that would be TOOOOOO much of a coincidence) - my hubby used to have a plaque which declared that "A cluttered desk is a sign of genius!!" - good luck with all your projects.

I hear ya! I'm always dashing to get DS from school atlm and have been known to turn up with ink and paint on my face/hands and glitter in places that you can't imagine!

Strangely, the shrink plastic has been out this week. I love it - there's a million and one uses for it.

I could so use some shrink plastic help.

So a challenge including some short tip style tutorials for each challenge would eb perfect. TJ and I would enjoy that.

And who cares about ink? Have fun with it and offer to do a workshop with the kids and their mums one day.

Hi . . . thanks for stopping by my blog today for WOYWW. Now I've come to visit you. WOW . . . that's A LOT of stuff on your desk! I obviously need to buy more craft items!

Great desk!!! Love the clock stamp. I'm always going to school with inky fingers and smudges on my top! I quite agree, at least we're happy crafters!!!

fab workspace, I know just what you mean about filling every inch of space with craft stuff once you get going, it doesn't matter how much table space I have I always use it all. and I'm totally with you on your thoughts about the playground talk. I can't stand the dress up for show look and look down on others that don't play your game. I often have mud and or paint on me when i pop to tesco for choclate supplies :) would give a damn? my dogs are happy and so am I :)

Thanks for the comment! I only store the plain cardstock by color. All of the designed paper scraps go in one big drawer :)

Andy is through yippee BUT we are not going to be able to watch on Friday-hope he can cope without my support. Doesn't bleach create lovely colours on your clothes-my sage green cargo pants now have a lovely purple splodge on them-seriously wondered if I could tie bleach the lot but not worth the hassle. Lovely desk - I too always go around covered in ink and glitter and stuff - have gone past worrying about it and most people at school just normally ask what I have made now rather than tutting! I too love shrink plastic - cant get enough of it - even when it goes flying through the air and lands on you and burns you I love it!

Had a quick go with shrink plastic which went ok, but never really had a proper play with it. I'm always meaning to but somehow never get around to it... probably because I can't find it when I think of it! LOL Love that clock stamp.

Now that is what I call a creative desk ...love the feel and all the bits.
Agree with you about feeding and clothing being more important than craft stained clothes ... I put home baking before housework when mine were young ..their friends never minded but loved the cakes and bread lol
Have tried shrink plastic and NEVER got on with it ...think I gave my store of it away in the end.

Your desk looks like you have so much going. Glad to read about the wet pots. And I see you love your Wimbledon. Hope your guy wins.

ohoo yes the first thing I noticed towa the watch stamp, now that is a very useful stamp to have (not to self, buy a watch stamp) I love shrink plastic, but, I buy it, use it once and then, no matter where I put it, I can't find it, but like acetate, once you put it down, it disappears!

Why is it we make a home for stuff then just let it sit on our workspace? Perhaps it adds to our creativity! As for shrink plastic - only used it once, in fact, I came across it the other day and thought that I should do something with it! x

I love all your tags on earlier posts! - Well done ANdy! Do you think he will beat Rafa?

Love your desk and I love your attitude even more.good on you! I love getting my hands all inked up in the process of creating something and I don't care what people think at all. So there!

Oh yeah - the more room, the more you use, and the need to have everything out in front of you grows too! If I put my 'intended' projects away, they'd never get done!

Thanks for your comment re my mess... kindred spirits, eh what? As to your question re my heat gun... it is decorated with alcohol inks, as is my ATG so I can identify it at workshops as so many folk have the same tools. The ink has worn off the handle with frequent use. Bet you'll do your's now!!!???
