Crafty Cardmakers DT Card - Friendly Plastic Tutorial

Afternoon Crafters

Over Crafty Cardmakers  this fortnite, our Spotlight choosen by no other than "Moi" is PLASTIC - now its not that hard a challenge is it ??? is it ??? Non Non Non !!!!

Plastic can be many things peeps, friendly plastic, shrink plastic, sweet wrappers, acetate etc, see not that hard really is it.  This is my effort, I really enjoyed doing this and might make some smaller ones now for brooches for crimbo pressies

These are the tools I used

I shaped the wire into four wings

I cut some strips of friendly plastic to put inside the wings of different colours

Not the best piccie in the world I know, but hey ho a kinda close up of one of wings in motion !!

Now stop laughing, yes thats a spillage of gems, I dropped the container, a close up of the other wings cooling

Here are all four wings cut out with normal scissors

I then glued them to foil

I used tiger tail wire to make the body with beads

I used Sticky fingers spray to make some backing paper and then arranged the wings to get an idea of how it was looking

And Dah Dah the finished project, I couldnt fit the sentiment on, so I hand wrote it around the edges of the card and added some gems as well.  SEE WASNT HARD WAS IT ???

Over at Craftymess Forum things are going great, we have got ATC Swaps, Inchy Swaps, Stamped Image swaps, Tag Book Swap, lots of challenges as well LOTV, Altered pringle lid, Cute Club - Come over and chat with us and join in the fun

Have a great day Crafters, Im off to lunch with my daughter - she has been accepted at Kingston Uni and has a job offer under her belt as well, very proud

Hugs
Judie xx
