Crafty Cardmakers DT Card - Spotlight Water

Afternoon Crafters, over at Crafty Cardmakers our spotlight is Water  - Well clever clogs here thought oh easy this is, I will use bleach and water. Simples !!! ER NOT !!!! After about 20 diferent stamps and countless pieces of wasted paper I have this effort.  Dont be fooled by how easy it looks, the air was positively blue in our house while this was taking place lol

I have used in the end parcel packing paper !!! I know, but it acheived such a good result I am in love with the stuff now.  After getting her onto the paper, i thought she looked a bit bland, so added some foil around her dress and headband.  I have used some old backing from sticky ribbon as a border, waste not want not eh  ?? added some gorjus little hearts buttons and the sentiment is also stamped with bleach as well.

We've also been discussing a few things as a team and from March we will be moving the Spotlight challenges to their very own blog.  This is to streamline and cause less confusion as we always have 2 challenges open.  It will still be the same, only the main challenge here followed by the spotlight the following monday over on the new blog and they'll both still run for 2 weeks each.  Spotlights are an indepth look at a style, technique or product so they can be a bit tricky but we do like to give you proper challenges here dont we :-)

Always something unique from you Judie...now do go in or out of the box to think & get your genious ideas? I'm not allowed to play with bleach...bottle says "keep away from children" !!

That works so well it was worth all the "blue" air!!!

Sorry I can't be with you over on your forum but I'm still suspended - how are you doing on the solution?

A lovely card - so elegant. And, I take my hat off to you - I've never managed to get a bleach technique to result in anything other than a stinky mess, so I'm in awe of you!

Great card Judie - you must have a LOT more patience than me, I've usually given up if I can't get something to work after the 2nd or 3rd attempt. Love the image you've used :o) Lisa x

Fantastic card. I'm sooo glad that I'm not the only one that thinks something will be a breeze and then finds it goes a little of course! Will have to give this a try. xx

What a touch challenge water ! Your bleach idea is just inspired. I've tried bleach stamping before and it just turned out a sorry mess.

What a lovely soft delicate image, totally in keeping with it's style. Well worth the language methinks.

This is beautiful Judie. I've never tried stamping with bleach - when I do I will have to ask for advice. xx
