My Mothers day card for my Wonderful Mummy xx

Hi everyone

Well its that funny time of year again, "Mothers Day". I made my mummy an exploding box last year, which was very brave of me as I had only been cardmaking for a couple of months then lol - Heres some piccies of it, my mummy likes pinkie girlie things, dont know where my hate of all things pink came from !!!

Well what do you think ??? My Mum has not taken it out the box i sent it in !!! Crazy women !!! Says it will get dirty and damaged !!!!

Anyway, on to this years card/book, I knew I had to come up withsome more than just a card, after racking my brains, searching everywhere on the net, reading every mag on the newsagents shelves, i thought Up this, I have seen these around but not a Mummy one. But hey, correct me if Im wrong.

I did this one for
Crafty Cardmakers Design Team. The Challenge over there at the moment is A Feminine Celebration - so please include a female of any form somewhere on your project. This can include female animals and critters or girls like Anyas, Tilda or perhaps something more arty like flapper girls, a wide choice for you

What did I use ??? well, I used a lot of different stuff on this card, I started with A4 Card and cut them up until i had the right sizes that were inside my head !!! I then ripped the edges with a distress ruler, (my fav thing) inked them up with distress inks, then mixed inkabilities with their micra powders and sprayed and sprayed until the inks ran into each other. I stamped everywhere on it randomlyish and used one page for a piccie of all my mummies children. (shes always moaning that we are never together in one place, so this ones for you mum) I then put faux stiching all around all the edges. Hopefully she will love it as much as last year.

Have to start thinking about next years now !! any ideas ???

There are some wonderful Challenges out there at the mo arnt there. If your still reading this far down, take a mo and pop your name down for the Blog Candy in Celebration of Little Tiny Zak Thomas Lovell, hes so tiny and loveable, get to see him again tomorrow, cant wait
Righto of to put the pickle pot to bed and maybe do a bit of crafting
Cheers all
Judie xx

Judie, all I will say is that I think your Mum will need a bigger box as she will want to keep this nice and safe. You can see that a lot of thought and love has gone into this project.

Thank you for taking the time to enter this into the Crafty Ann's Challenge this fortnight. I was lucky enough to be a Guest Designer this month so I am looking at all the lovely creations and seeing how others interpreted the challenge.

Take care and my best wishes, Kym xxx

Your Mother's Day creations are fantastic - I bet your Mum loved them!

I had to contact you to say a big Thank You for your vintage tag which I received today with the others from Vix's Facebook swap. Your tag is stunning! I'd love to know how you made it - and did you draw the woman youself? Did you blog about your tags at all - I couldn't see from the quick look I had? Thanks again x
